16th December 2010: Milonga @ Villa Madama + 'Pre-Milonga' class

The Wine Gardens at Villa Madama, Balzan will be hosting our Milonga on Thursday 16th, from 8.30pm onwards. Tango music will be provided by DJ d net.
Entrance is €3.

Just before the milonga, also at Villa Madama, Nathalie will hold a 1h drop in class for Primeros and Pricipiantes (7.30 - 8.30pm). More details here…

Monday 20th December: Practica Asistida

A practica is a good opportunity to practice what you have learned and ask for assistance if you have any difficulties. It is also a way of meeting other tangueros/as from other groups, in a casual and relaxed setting.
It is not a substitute for missed classes.

A practica asistida will be held on Monday 20th December from 9pm-11pm at 215, Flat 4, Swieqi Road, Swieqi (map).



It is open to all levels and Nathalie will be happy to answer all your questions.

Fee: 3€. Kindly put your fee in the purse at the door.

10th December 2010: Taking Tango to Gozo

Next week we'll be holding a taster class and a milonga in Gozo.
Venue: Circolo Gozitano, Victoria, Gozo
Time: 7.30/8.30 - 11pm

A free TASTER CLASS from 7.30 - 8.30pm
All adults are invited to join this fun class.
Spread the word with any Gozitans that you know please.

MILONGA (Argentine tango social dancing) 8.30 - 11pm
(if you intend to get back to Malta you will have to leave at 10.30pm)
No fee.

Bar/wine bar/restaurant will be open for food and drinks.

The ferry time table for Gozo departing from Cirkewwa is at:
6.45pm, 8pm and 9.20pm.

30th November 2010: Milonga Sentimental

Claudia & Gordon are organising one last milonga before they leave, and what better place to celebrate the last three years of Tango Malta than going back to its birth place, where thanks to Il-Forn we were able to hold weekly milongas for over a year and a half.

We hope to see you all, including all those old faces that we haven't seen for a while before we leave!

Saturday 27th November 2010: Milonga Nostalgia

Apart from being the workshop Milonga during Jelena and Dominik's Workshop, during this Milonga we will be playing for the first time a whole tanda of Tangos sung in Maltese recorded in the early 30s. This is thanks to the Malta's Lost Voices Project and Andrew Alamango who have sought to recover old recordings by Maltese artists. A limited amount of CDs containing one of the Tangos will also be available for sale on the night.
