With the festivities approaching,i have decided  to hold the next Primeros Pasos & Post Primeros Pasos courses mid Jan .If you would lke to start, refine, catch up or continue with tango, we will restart on the 15th Jan 2013. Sundays at 6.30pm/8pm.Those that want to take up tango on a regular basis and work at it in the coming year, you have a few payment possibility options. THE PULSE - musicality workshop with Michael Galea

...we have a fantastic Musicality weekend workshop coming up with Michael Galea, a local talented percussionist (from Etnica, Brikkuni, and the Jazz fest).
During these three sessions, we will be looking into pulse and form, analyzing  a song from Di Sarli, another one from D'Arienzo and a Vals.

OPEN FOR ALL who are interested in taking a deeper look into music...we will be dancing a bit but nothing complicated. The focus is on listening with new knowledge.

Practica"Y?" 9th Oct

Practica "Y ?" is a general practice session assisted by myself, for all levels. It is the time you may ask questions, discuss steps etc, whereas in a milonga it is against the milonga ethics to stop and teach or to ask.
I will be at St Augustine Hall, triq il-Kbira, Rabat on the 9th October from 8pm to 11pm for you with easy and pleasant sounds, to dance to and  ask as many Ys as you wish :).

Workshops con sabor - Art of walking and Side stepping or change of weight?

Two fun workshops applying general dance technique and more, of 1.30 hours each or a little bit more if needed

Sat 7th THE ART OF WALKING
There are many levels to walking, as Geraldine Rojas (one of my favourite dancers) said "you can keep digging"
We will make it function well, perfect it, explore new depths, play with inside and outside partner walking, and play with the music.
You may use this workshop up to whatever level you would like to.

Sat 14th SIDE STEP OR CHANGE OF WEIGHT?

Side stepping with flavour, and playful changes of weight to the music are the subjects of this workshop.
Giving new depths to your dance. By the way, this is what makes the dance look passionate/sexy etc... the texture you give to your movement.

Time is at 7.00pm. Practice session after

Thursday Milonga as you all know is off due to the religious activities BUT we can party at mine 69 St Paul's street Rabat on SATurday 9.30pm

8.00 - 9.30 assisted practica. You may put 3 euros for practica in the tea pot if you feel like, and then we party after.

You may just come for the party ;)) 9.30pm (tango music will be on)

I am inviting all the tango people so i do not really know who is coming, therefore if you think you will get hungry or thirsty might be a good idea to get something with you. Otherwise the usual drill is that you help yourself to drink , the kitchen, fridge, cooker, hugs and kisses from Nina. Please do not overfeed her, she is intollerant to some foods. Also since you all know how noisy she is do not ring the door bell just come up the stairs and ignore her loud barking.

DEEP TANGO IMMERSION - Seminar with Miles Tangos & Nathalie Mifsud

A 3 week package of advanced immersion into Argentine Tango.

Miles Tangos having just returned from BsAs, and a U.S tour, will be giving an intensive 3 weeks of tango immersion together with Nathalie Mifsud.

This seminar is for those who want to take their dancing to the next level, without sacrificing technique, or relying on patterns to accomplish the goal of dancing tango well. Miles and Nathalie will go deep into the foundations of tango essentials, take those essentials and turn them inside out so that the student sees possibilities everywhere!

The educational experience will also be in the fact that each student will be learning BOTH sides of the embrace, leading and following, which is the ultimate goal in becoming an exceptionally good dancer.

A practica is a good opportunity to practice what you have learned, whilst Nathalie is happy to answer all your questions. It is also a way of meeting other tangueros/as from other groups in a casual and relaxed setting.

It is not a substitute for missed classes.
