Milonga at BoV Streets Alive

We are pleased to announce that the next three milongas will be held on Fridays in Valletta as part of the BoV Streets Alive activities. We will be dancing outside, opposite Luciano's restaurant (on the side of the Cathedral entrance) from 8.30pm onwards. Luciano's will be providing a welcome drink to us all. You are encouraged to come and enjoy the last tango evenings before our summer break.

Tango Porteño

A Tango night to remember - Tango Porteño at Lo Squero on the 28th June 2008 from 9pm onwards. Come and dance and enjoy a social evening amongst friends. Non-dancers are welcome to come and watch what Argentine Tango is all about, while having a drink on the beautiful Lo Squero terrace overlooking Floriana's Haywharf.

Argentine Tango Intensive Weekend Workshop

We are happy to officially announce the Argentine Tango intensive weekend workshop to be held between the 27th and 29th June 2008 at St. James Cavalier in Valletta. The teachers for this weekend workshop are Gerardo from Uruguay and Ǻsa from Sweden.

The timetable for the lessons is as follows:

Beginners (Those who have at least completed Beginners Level 1):
Friday 18:00 - 19:45
Saturday 09:30 - 12:30
Sunday 09:30 - 12:30

Intermediates (Those who have been dancing for at least 1 year):
Friday: 20:15 - 22.00
Saturday 15:30 - 18:30
Sunday 15:30 - 18:30

The cost of this workshop is of €60.00 per person. To book please email tangomalta@gmail.com. Only bookings in advance will be considered.

Assisted Practicas

Gordon and Nathalie are offering 2 1/2hrs of assisted tango practice, in preparation for Gerardo's visit. These sessions will be held between 8:30pm - 11:00pm and are intended for those who have already taken some lessons in Argentine Tango and who wish to practice what they have learned with the possibility of asking for guidance and clarifications. Anyone who has taken beginners' level 1 and 2, or private lessons is more than welcome, as are more advanced dancers. The dates are as follows:
