Beginners Level 2 Course - April / May 2009

We are be holding a four session Tango course aimed at beginners level 2. The following is the plan for the course:
Course Content:  Ocho Cortado, Sanguichito, Giro
Who may apply: All those that have done beginners level 1, or have done some private sessions that covered the basic steps in tango, like walking, outside walk, side step and ochos.
Dates:  Every Tuesday - 28th April, 5th, 12th, 19th May 2009
Time:  7.30pm – 9.00pm (pls be punctual)
Place: To be announced
Price: 30 Euros for the 4 sessions OR 10 Euros per session. Those of you who have taken this course already can retake individual sessions at 5 Euros per session or 15 Euros for the 4 sessions.

As always we need to know if you are planning to attend the course so that we balance out leaders and followers. Otherwise, we will try to balance out unpartnered people on a first-come first-serve basis. It might be the case that we will have to refuse bookings if there is a large unbalance in leaders and followers, and thus bookings will be confirmed at a later stage. Cecilia Pascual confirms weekend workshop in Malta

Cecilia Pascual has confirmed that she will be in Malta from the 22nd May to the 24th May to give a tango weekend workshop to our Maltese Tangueros/as. If you are planning a holiday to Malta and would like to join us, let us know. Programme will be published later when we confirm remaining details and events.

2nd April 2009: Milonga del Sur

Tango Argentino in Malta at Milonga del Sur Thursday 2nd April from 9pm onwards at Il-Forn Art Gallery and Wine Bar, Vittoriosa (Birgu). A one-hour practica will be held beforehand. 

We will also be holding a practica on Tuesday at Mosta, open to all.

26th March 2009: Milonga del Sur

Argentine Tango at Milonga del Sur this Thursday 26th March, from 9 pm onwards, at Il-Forn Art Gallery and Wine Bar in Birgu (Vittoriosa). There will be a one-hour practica before the Milonga. 

Argentine Tango Beginners' Course April 2009

We are pleased to announce a beginners' course in Argentine Tango starting on Wednesday 15th April at 8pm, consisting of 4 sessions held every Wednesday thereafter. Lessons are one-and-a-half hours long, followed by a practice session. The cost is of 40 Euros for the whole course (30 Euros for senior citizens and full-time students). You do not need a partner, but if you do have one or encourage someone to come with you, it does simplify things for us! The course will be held in Mosta and is supported by Gehwol (caring for your feet).  Please email nathalie@tangomalta.org  for more details.

19th March 2009: Milonga del Sur

Argentine Tango in Malta: Milonga del Sur - This Thursday 19th March, from 9pm onwards, at Il-Forn Art Gallery and Wine Bar, Birgu. A practica will be held before from 8pm-9pm.

6th March 2008: Milonga de la Gloria

To finish off our Tango Workshop with Elizabeth and Francis, we are organising a special edition event - Milonga de la Gloria, this Friday, from 10pm onwards (at 39, Mrabat Str. Sliema)

Each lesson is followed by a practice session.  The cost is of 40 Euros for the whole course (30 Euros for full-time students and senior citizens.
